A: I personally use a 10'6" Fenwick Eagle medium-fast rod with a lure rating of 3/8-1oz, paired with a 3000 series Okuma reel. For line, I use 20lb Sufix 832 braid connected to a 15lb Maxima Ultragreen leader. This setup offers excellent sensitivity and strength, perfect for salmon and steelhead fishing. The right rod and reel for you will depend on your fishing conditions and target species, but this combo is a great starting point!
